I love to cook, and I’m thrilled that my son loves to cook with me – even though most of the time he won’t eat the results. My husband and I both grew up in houses where we were not taught how to cook as children. Consequently, during the first part of our adult life together, we ate mostly takeout and processed foods. It wasn’t until my son was about two years old that I finally decided I needed to learn to cook. Once I started, I quickly discovered how thrilling it can be.  I hope to pass that joy on to my son. At the very least, I don’t want him moving out of our house not knowing how to cook for himself.
